Product Training

The Minnesota Career Information System (MCIS) offers free training workshops throughout the state. Workshops are hands-on in a computer lab and usually are a full day.

Sample workshop day:

8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Registration
8:30 - 9:00 a.m. Welcome, Overview, General Navigation
9:00 - 9:30 a.m. MY MCIS - Electronic Portfolio, including new enhancements and features
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. New Occupation Sort
10:00 -10:15 a.m. Break
10:15 -10:45 a.m. IDEAS - Interest Determination, Exploration and Assessment System
10:45 -11:30 a.m. Exploring MCIS Internet Files
11:30 -12:30 p.m. Lunch
12:30 - 1:15 p.m. Exercises Using MCIS Programs of Study
1:15 - 2:00 p.m. School Sort, Graduate School Sort and Aid Sort
2:00 -2:15 p.m. Break
2:15 -3:00 p.m. Exercises Using Job Search and Keep That Job Files
3:00 -3:30 p.m. Wrap-up and Review
