November is National Career Development Month!

To highlight this event, iSeek Solutions has launched a brand new look for ISEEK,  www.iseek.org, Minnesota’s premiere website resource for career, education, employment and business information.  And just released is the Find a Job! A Job Search Guide, a convenient, take-along manual for job seekers.

ISEEK

ISEEK is a hot destination because it keeps Minnesotans employed and employable. This newly designed website serves over 36,000 users a month. Its 400,000 pages provide the most complete data on Minnesota schools, job postings, detailed career information and business profiles.  These are the folks who benefit from ISEEK:

• Job seekers browse job postings, get tips on resume writing, interviewing, and sealing a job offer.
• Professionals pondering career changes find out which fields are hopping, how much schooling they need, who offers the classes, at what cost, and starting salary expectations.
• Students can research all their campus and online learning options.
• Retirees looking to get back into part-time work can find just the right match.
• Employers revel in the bounty of job-seeker resumes and professional development resources from which to choose.

Find a Job! A Job Search Guide

Find a Job! A Job Search Guide is a hot-off-the-press, pocket-sized manual developed by current and former job seekers to provide basic information about successful job seeking strategies.  In a colorful format that's easy to use, the guide uses a step-by-step method that helps new job seekers find a job. It covers important topics like getting skills, networking, interviewing, writing resumes and finding jobs and employers. The guide can also be personalized through activities that help individuals organize job goals, identify skills, maintain current application and resume information and prepare for job interviews. Included in the guide are other helpful resources like ISEEK at http://www.iseek.org and local WorkForce Centers. To order copies of the guide, use the online order form at http://www.iseeksolutions.org/order.htm
