market.
Strategic Partnerships
SkillsNET Corporation
SkillsNET Corporation, a leading workforce development company and
developer of the Skills Community suite of products and iSeek Solutions,
developer of the ISEEK internet site, plan to integrate the Skills Community
product set into the ISEEK application. This partnership provides the
two organizations the opportunity to deliver a comprehensive product to
the growing workforce development market nationally and abroad.
SkillsNET is a leading
Skills Community provider, which consists of Internet-based skill management
systems, Business-to-business skill content library, and related services.
SkillsNET uses a "common language" framework to define worker
processes and workplace characteristics using its innovative SkillObjects
technology. This technology enables companies to organize job tasks into
small clusters that are performed, learned, and evaluated in a similar
manner. These clusters provide powerful information that adds currency
to human capital job descriptions, training systems, e-learning and job
placement processes. http://www.skillsnet.com/.

Development Partnerships
Employer's Resource
Referral Group (ERRG)
The labor shortage is increasing this demand for a cataloguing of
workforce support services - especially in industries that are tapping
the emerging and immigrant workforce. iSeek Solutions is partnering with
the Twin Cities Economic Development Group and The United Way to design
and deploy a "one-stop" web site where users can search for
and access information to grow their businesses through locating and retaining
workers. The goal is a database of workforce support services that can
be accessed swiftly and seamlessly through the Internet. Through an interface
on ISEEK, employers and the public will be able to access metro and statewide
information on:
- Support services
- Counseling
- Housing
- Transportation
- Workplace training
- And more!
This new resource
will be a seamless, easily accessible, electronic solution that is fully
integrated with other employment and training resources that are currently
part of ISEEK.
